3rd Annual Benefit a Success
A large crowd enjoyed MEF’s 3rd Annual Benefit Dinner and Auction on January 29th. Highlights of the evening included excellent displays of student work and primo entertainment from student groups. 47 businesses and individuals provided gift certificates/door prizes, cash donations and 44 silent and live auction items. The evening netted $6,185.
These funds will be the seed money for next year’s Grant Award Program. The program provides staff awards for all classroom needs. The 2016’s Benefit coupled with a Fairfield Trust grant and additional contributions, provided the fund with $65,000 for the 2016-2017 school year. Most of these funds have purchased much needed textbooks and other curricular materials.
